At 10 am on June 5, a brief ground breaking ceremony was held at Aldrich Field, the site of the new public safety complex. over 70 people attended the event and heard  speechs from Selectboard Chair Mary McDowell and former long–time Selectman Bryan Hauschild. Also in attendance were Fire Chief  Russ Anderson, Police Chief Louis Barry  and members from both Departments, as well as the members of the Building Committee a, other local officials and members of the public.
