Meeting with Historical District Commission

Posted by admin on 24 Apr 2008 | Tagged as: General

Representatives from the Historical District Commission met with the Committee at its April 16, 2008 meeting. After some  discussion it was determined the location for the complex is just outside the boundaries of the Historical Zone.  Committee members agreed that input from the Commission was still important due to the complex’s prominent location in the center of Town and its close proximity to the zone,  The Historical District guidelines relative to paint colors, design, signage and other issues were discussed with the Commission. It was agreed that the Committee would keep Commission advised  of the projects progress and that we would meet again in the future.

On April 9, 2207, the Committee met with representatives from the Planning Board and discussed the process for obtaining Planning Board approval of the Plans. The site was discussed with the members who were very supportive of the proposed plan. The Planning Board agrees there does not seem to be any major obstacles for the project.

Arrangements were made to keep the Planning Board advised of our progress. The Committee is very pleased with the expressed cooperation.

The architectural firm of Caolo and Bieniek Associates has been hired by the Committee to conduct a peer review of the Needs Assessment and Feasibility Study completed by Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc.
